I was under the impression that accounts cannot be transferred... Well, I understand you can change the name and all, but I believe I heard someone say that when yahoo is about to pay you, they will notice it is not the original recipient of the invite.
What's YPN?
Sorry.
Talk about not keeping up with the times

And how does a non-American propose to use their new account when you need a valid U.S. Social Security or Tax ID number? Good luck getting paid without it!

Good point, plus I know this may be hard to believe but it is definately correct that they somehow have a way to actually verify the U.S. tax id number is correct and belongs to you, and they routinely verify it.

Well, the problem with that is... I believe when someone signs up and use their personal information, its made so that they're able to change it for *business* information.. ie.. Replacing the ss# with the tax id number of your business.

Anybody willing to "give" an invite away (come on, show some compasion ;)) or trade it for something? I wanted to test it out on a couple of websites but there's no way I'm paying xxx, let alone $xxxx for an account on a service that isn't pushing forward too well.
