Zoom.cc
I picked this up yesterday.
Any ideas for value. I like this name a lot.

com - net - org - info - biz - us - ws - bz - cc - nu - cn - tv - de - in - co.uk - org.uk - com.cn - org.cn - net.cn

all gone

$0 - its only worth what somebody is willing to pay

It's a nice looking domain but MVIG is right.

.cc extension probably the least popular on that list, sorry

I guess it's a good thing I like it a lot...hehe

Yeah its only worth what someone is willing to pay so its hard to put a figure on it,but i dont think its the worse extension on that list, its a brandable domain which fits the extension well, you might get low xxx maybe !

Interesting britishbulldog...I rec'd a low $$$ offer this morning from someone at another domain forum. (I didn't actually post it for sale.)
I find it interesting because I didn't buy this name from anyone...I reg'd it day before yesterday which means anyone could have......this business never ceases to amaze me with the odd things that happen....
(I am holding on to it at this time)

Thanks all for taking the time to provide your input so far...I am still interested in more feedback. Development suggestions welcome as well.
I think camera...travel....might be interesting. Useless as a "revenue"..."PPC" name because of extension, but I think this is a very brandable name.

Thanks,
Jim

Mazda new car company uses the words "zoom zoom" in nearly all their TV /radio/print advertising here in Australia
So consider development as an auto site
A memorable name despite the extension

.cc is getting a bit more popular these days... I would definetly hold on to it for a while and see what happens in the coming months....

There is no question that the name is brandable and used often....

I also know someone with a number #1 listing in Google using a .cc domain, so it's good to know they rank too...

Does this conclue that search extensions do not discriminate on extensions ? if so why spend thousands on the .com version ? unless you are going to market it ! forget the 15% loss to .com as you would lose more on typos !

To get an idea, Profit.cc sold for $1,288
earlier this year.

I like the .cc extension myself, it just
looks good even though it hasn't gained
a lot of popularity yet. But .info and .biz
used to be the same. Over time when all
the other extensions are gone you take the one
that's available. The internet is still young, so
.cc will only become more valuable and not less.

Zoom.cc is a good word with a so-so extension right
now. But hang on and the right buyer might come along.
If I owned it I probably wouldn't let it go, just keep registering it
each year. (reg fees also seem to go down over time)

I forwarded/parked the domain to sedo and on the 14th & it has rec'd 14 views in a day & a half...Is that a good number or not...I really have no idea how that works...

Thanks again for your time to respond...It is appreciated,
Jim

I believe right now .cc is a buyers market - not a seller's market. Seems like people collect these with the idea of longer-term appreciation in mind.

In checking www.Archive.org - it shows Zoom.cc had a former life, leading me to think you did well to hand-reg a dropped domain with residual traffic - congrats and GL for the future!

anywhere from high $xx - low $xxx imo

BTW.. I own FAQ.cc

That is a nice name.......

Thanks for the feedback...And silly me...I didn't realize Wayback did .cc names...I thought only com, net, org... ..so thanks for that heads up!

Jim

Zoom.cc
I put it on Sedo late on the 14th of July...
Sedo unique numbers are now...66 uniques
Feb 14 - 1
Feb 15 - 6
Feb 16 - 56
Feb 17 - 3 (so far today)
I am trying to figure out if these are good numbers or average/poor...
Is there any benchmark? Can anyone give me some idea....or should I just monitor it for a while to get a real idea...

Thanks
Jim

i kind of like the name. just to give you an idea about another .cc domain that has been sold recently: musicals.cc for 500$. keeping this price in mind i´d say, that zoom.cc might be worth around 100-200$...

Hey absoluto
As I said earlier in the thread I have already rec'd a low $$$ offer on another forum and I wasn't trying to sell it. I have a feeling this might be a good name & it is probably one I should dedicate some development time to....
Thanks for the feedback & valuation...

Jim
