I'd like to get some input on the domain 0wned.com. Note it is 0wned with a zero. Thanks!

$xxx low minimum to an end user.

While pseudo word spellings don't offer much value, this is a gamer niche word. Site can be setup for gaming server.

Personally I only see these types domains as good for members areas and in the know sites (the sort people would find if they had 40 random chars.). Saying that, its nice and easy to remember. That way would quite a value, not far off reg fee.
Also could be used as shared sercure server - then the value would be lot higher. To market that way, you would want to aim for small to medium hosting co.s. Pitched the right way could be worth $100-$300+. Could be hard work explaining to them.

Please bear inmind this is only one persons opinion.

I dont know, there has to be some value in the fact the zero and "O" keys are so close to one another on the keyboard. Im sure it worth low $XXX to someone out there.

0wned with a zero is a VERY popular word used online. Google it and you will find thousands of matches. It refers to many things, but the main one is hacking. When a site or server gets hacked it has been "0wned" with a zero. If I beat you in a game I "0wned" you with a zero. I expected much higher appraisals here to be honest.

Keep 'em coming and thanks for taking the time to post.

Corrected my google numbers. Thanks for pointing that out below ;)

48,000 is low considering owned has a result of 34,900,000 and pwned (a term I'm led to believe is more 'cool') has 124,000. Also I would factor in that the kind of people using this terminology are youngsters (with no money) or wannabe hackers (who never pay for anything). I would go with $100-$500 enduser.

I guess opinions really do vary then. I've gotten some generous offers. I don't practice nor encourage the practice of hacking, but every system administrator knows that the domain 0wned.com is quite the catch. As every one of them have had a site/server 0wned (with a zero) before.

I think the domain would be great for a security/anti-virus firm. Something along the lines of "Don't get 0wned! Buy our product!" or something. We shall see ;)

Have a good night.

I'd have to agree that low $xxx is an accurate appraisal for this domain. While it is a very good gaming domain that appeals to most hardcore gamers including myself, it does have some red flags that go along with it. For 1, if somebody tells me in person to check out 0wned.com, i would most like visit owned.com. It would be nice to have the pair. The other is the whole hacker deal - I wouldn't want to invest alot of time and money into a site that some hacker might get the urge to one day make my homepage say "Who's 0wned now?".

IMHO $0

Personal value, there may be some.. But there is no Commercial Value for this domain name whatsoever as the actual owned.com is strange website with even stranger pictures of drunk people.

Any commercial organisation who OWNED this domain would be forever getting confused with the actual spelling.

The google results for this are mostly nicknames for peoples Blogs and Forums
