nice job Bigge...that's why u wear that "COP" badge.....it's your job to look out for these scammers......

biggedon, I was aware of your watches slightly before this came out and I forgot to thank you. :( I know moderating can be a thankless job sometimes.

Now that you compiled it into a whole message, it's clear a big "THANK YOU" also needs to come your way!

I personally reported the photoshop junk in the original thread; you could have used a couple of minutes to clean it up and keep it open for developments, that are now bound to get scattered. E.g. I corresponded with Delta Gamma and they (obviously) denied that she is an alumnus.

The software thread; at that time I was aware of the oncoming onslaught and played along; do you seriously believe we bit the bait? ;)

In retrospect, mods waited a bit too long to act on this; it took a lot of research on my part and that of others to concentrate the volumes of evidence. Even then, her side of the story had to be told, only to be disseminated by cross-examination.

The outcome: she's drinking coffee in Seattle, waiting for the dust to settle and to set forth onto her new group of victims.

the delta gamma alumni bs was irrelevant

if you just "played along" in the software thread, then you could have been aiding her by not asking enough questions.

especially, since you got all these members referring you for this and that.

andtrying to state that mods waited a bit too long is bullshit!

only mod who know about this was me, and i alerted the team after.
gathering circumstantial evidence, while waiting for those who were manipulated by her to come forward with "factual" evidence.

if you had so much evidence from researching, then why didn't you start the thread?

i got no problem with the good things you do Theo, but imo you shouldn't be taking credit for something when you are not the guy/gal who broke this news.

OK Don, what exactly is your point?

1. The Delta Gamma was part of her faux profile. If you think that I just post "hot air" and personal beliefs without research, then you simply seek entertainment. I contacted Kellie Ali, of DeltaGamma.org after I called the Seattle chapter on the phone. So don't tell me it's irrelevant.

2. A few select of us knew in advance what was going to happen. Do you seriously think that Bocajohn broke the news to us all? It seems that you have no concept of allowing the scammer to be led forward; ask too many questions and they will sniff the air knowing something is up. The software thread was simply a warm-up exercise.

3. The mods were simply watching the thread, and that's good because otherwise we'd have crap like your post below offering nothing positive to an extreme effort brought forth by a bunch of regular users.

Again, I am not here to babysit or entertain you, so stay off my toes.

biggedon, I consulted Theo about it because he is a trusted friend and I knew he could help find information. But, we waited on the original OPs to post out of respect and because they are the ones who had dealings with her.

And btw, that was AFTER the fact that his name was dropped as a person to consult, anyways for that very reason.

too late....your toes have already been stepped on

they only way you knew what was going to happen, before it happened, is because it was decided before you knew...to let you in on it.

but if you wanna accept all the awards for those who couldn't make it...be my guest

that's my point!

Your points are...pointless :D

We did your job for you, and you're getting paid for it.

Show some respect, Don. Thunder stealing is not cool.

What does it matter guys? Everyone pulled together just like they should have and did what needed to be done.

According to Don, it magically happened. The mods cleaned the floor, everyone is safe.

I spent 48 hours on that b!tch and Don comes here to blow bubbles.

I appreciate all members who help dig up information, fighting crime is a team effort and Acro is a big part of that team. IMO

I don't see the point of this... I'm shocked by this whole thing...

thanks to Acro and everyone who gave up time to help out in all these cases not just this one.

Thanks to all
:yo:

Trust me - If I had been directly defrauded, this incident would have been on national news.

But because I "only" lost time and trust in this person, I contributed my effort and knowledge to locating missing links unseen from the cursory look of plain curiosity.

Do I need a badge? No. But I don't need the BS either.

Damn, I missed that whole thread exposing this member as a lyer and creep. Just saw the thread this morning.

This person was trying to broker some domains out for me. They ended up wasting my time with lies about buyers they supposedly got for my domains.

I think this member was given more acceptance due to fact they were one of the few female domainers in the community and appeared to be a hardworker and friendly. Never seen anyone so active in the forum and all those projects and also very social. It is also easy to make people believe your lies on the internet and noone can verify.

Great and important point virtual. When someone is a bit too friendly red flags should go up just as they do in the real world. Add to that how she seemed to come out of nowhere and take on a lot while seeming pretty green at the same time. Nothing wrong with being social of course, but only hucksters have a need to do it too fast.

I agree - regardless of how it all came to be, it happened and unfortunately some people got scammed but the community was able to get together and get some action done. It was a hard lesson for some members but it is a lesson.

Good job to EVERYONE who was involved from the first two who came forward to everyone else who was gathering evidence / information.

She is no under the name D.n. Tweet on facebook trying to scam people. She posted a domain saying it makes $300 in revenue per month and is selling it for $4,000 OBO. Jail time is needed for this one.

Seems I missed some major drama. Where is the closed thread ?

I seem to remember user 'democrat' using a profile picture of a chick, very different from the pictures I have seen of her, claiming that it was her picture.

Also I think it proves this member is an attention seeker using her name and picture all the time while she is conducting fraudulent transactions and scamming people.
