.mobi is a sham. This isn't just a guess but pure common sense. There are your great keywords & average to above average versions of those same keywords or topics.

The problem is most of the .mobi's people register & try to sell are complete garbage & make no sense with the extension.

A made up example would be scooter.mobi

Some clown will say xxx or xxxx for scooter.mobi

Think about it, does the name even fit the extension? No, it really doesn't. Unfortunately many of the obsessed .mobi lovers are too stupid to get it.

While I think .mobi is a sham, some names are pretty good.

Stocks.mobi

Scores.mobi

Porn.mobi

Names like those make sense & would be premiums. Some random 2+ word .mobi = most likely garbage. Many just don't get i though.

The funniest part has to be when people go rah rah over big .mobi sales. Guess what folks it still won't help you if you have garbage .mobi's.

How can it be both? Good keywords are good keywords but not all extensions or TLD's are good TLD's from the gist of this thread.

I did not praise any .mobi names & sales. I was just stating that certain names make sense for the extension & could see why they sold. I still think the extension is a sham & won't be anything after the hype dies down.

I was just expressing how while some names are ok & make sense for the extension, most don't & the .mobi lovers usually have garbage compared to the better names that make sense.

Okay, then perhaps the logical thing would be to quit bashing domainers and members on the forum and attack the mega corporations that are perpetuating the hype beginning with ICANN for allowing such an inane extension and then going after the corporations.
