Hi,

I'm not good with domain names at all, but I'd like to know how much these two domain names that I've just purchased are worth:

HVBBS.com - over 13 years old of age.
StephenKing.net - Famous American writer. Even I know him, and I don't read books

Much appreciated.

Thank you,
Donny

Not just in America, very popular in the UK too!

over 6.1 million google results for "stephen king"

Does it get any traffic?

unless they are getting traffic I think the value is very limited.

Stephen King is a great author/writer. He's behind the scripts of some of my favorite thriller/horror movies. I think you should develop it into a fansite. I know that Stephen King has a huuuge fanbase, so you might get quite good traffic.

HVBBS.com - I would appraise this one as a regfee domain, but if it really is 13 years old then it might have some traffic?

Without traffic or some kind of meaning the domain is worth regfee imo.

I AM a writer (domaining is just for some extra money..writers are dirt poor), and believe me, commercial writers (the ones that get on the best sellers list...I'm not talking of literary figures) literally WORSHIP Stephin King. Heck, he earns over 60 Million each year (yes, thats an UNDERESTIMATED figure), and he's so filthy rich that he allows his short stories to be made into movies (some MAJOR movies...Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, 1408) for free. And the movie licenses for these movies would sell for over several movies

Make a fan site, and wait for him to contact you (though I doubt this...he's been known to not care about his celebrity status). He can definitely afford it!

Actually, Stephen King only allows aspiring directors to turn his short stories into a movie for free if the movie is NOT for commercial use. The movies you mentioned earned him a lot of money. But back to topic...

I don't think these domains are worth much. HVBBS.com is a 5-letter domain which doesn't make any sense and it isn't pronouncable. But it's 13 years old, so it should be worth $xxx, especially if it has traffic. StephenKing.net: I would not use it for a website related to the author and I wouldn't offer it to him for sale, as he might decide to sue you for it.

Thanks. I think I will develop a fansite around the name. Sue me? Stephen King? I'd die just to see him in court :p.

Hmm... so I guess I didn't get such a great deal on the 13 year old name then. Any advice on how to maximize the value of it? Develop and gain traffic, then sell?

Check again.
Frank Darabont made Shawshank Redemption paying just $1 to Stephen King. That's King's policy for his short stories.
I would know this because I also happen to be a film student besides a writer...
