Not to crap on anyone's thread, but for accuracy, you may want to re-check/ re-state your above claim of 19,721 links.

I show approximately a dozen links using the free web tool at http://www.SitePopularity.org

Thanks for your inputs.

I clearly stated "Market leap shows 19,721 results", also, the main selling point here is that pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com could make use of it.

Why do you folks need to do this in peoples sales threads?

That is not any of your business really, I stated that its marketleap's result. Im sure the person whos going to buy it would not just buy it without checking it first, and if they dont like it they dont have to buy it, like you and cowboy, and I emphasised the fact that pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com might be interested is why the high price.

Right, I suggest you guys read the forum rules for this
section before posting derogatory remarks.

"Also, please do not post derogatory remarks in sales threads or attempt to appraise the name for sale. Only post if you have questions about the sale, or are interested in the name. "

Don't crap in someone elses sales thread, you wouldn't like it
if they did it to you.

++++++++++++++++++++++

It is reasonable to expect that there be no glaring inaccuracies or false claims in a sales thread. Such observations are not "derogatory" remarks, even if they do not help the seller.

It is a matter of using true facts. False claims or gross inaccuracies should be fixed.

I don't see anything misleading in his ad. You folks who found domain police badges in your cracker jack boxes really need to lighten up.

AH, THANK YOU. 'MISLEADING' WAS *EXACTLY* THE WORD THAT I WAS THINKING TO DESCRIBE THE ORIGINAL AD.

You folks who found domain police badges in your cracker jack boxes really need to lighten up.

WE ALL GOT THEM. THEY COME WITH CITIZENSHIP AND COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP. PICK YOURS UP OFF THE FLOOR, DUST IT OFF, POLISH IT, AND TREAT IT WITH A LITTLE RESPECT --EVEN IF IT IS METALLIC FINISHED PLASTIC. WE ALL REAP THE BENEFITS OF GOOD COMMUNITY. STOP SHIRKING YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

If I am not mistaken, that is a mod's job not yours. Leave the policing to them, please.

Could a mod step in and clarify this issue either way, so it gets resolved? There seems to be a fair amount of confusion or gray area here.

There is no gray area.

Why do some people think that ANYTHING GOES on the internet?

Sellers have no legal right to print false or inaccurate information is sales threads on DNF --or anywhere else.

And members have the right to voice their opinion about it. After all, this is a FORUM.

I looked at each statement this seller made and checked the sources he quoted and each checked out properly as stated by the seller. Alltheweb links may suck..alltheweb may be reporting improperly but THIS SELLER has done nothing wrong!!

So if a newbie (to the domain world) comes along and sees this thinking its a super hot deal and buying becuase it has high links.

19,721 Linkpop. Adult domain.

That is OK? This is a forum, we exchange information, one of hte bezst things about htis is we ALL learn from others mistakes. So we dont make them and lose $. A new person to the forum most likely won't even know what marketleap is.

"LinkPoP" sure sounds like "link popularity" to me. Not "what marketleap says".

I would like to hear a mods opinion also.

But, can we agree to disagree?
