Online since April 2005, http://www.freerollforums.com is a poker discussion forum targeted towards newer poker players. Specifically those who are playing freerolls a lot. Therefore, it is incredibly easy to get a high level of sign ups.
The forum currently has Threads: 2,482, Posts: 28,122, Members: 6,062. I have not run the site actively for more than a year however it still brings in cash through previous referrals and over $200 a month with text link ads.
The forum skin is completely unique and was designed by http://www.vbulletinskinz.com/. At the time it cost around $1500 - I paid a higher fee so that the copyright link was removed.
I am happy to pass on the owned vbulletin license for this forum (it needs renewed though - costs $30)
Reason for Selling : I am just back from travelling and have some debt to clear. However, I would probably be selling it soon anyways. I have not had the time to run this site for some time so its best I pass it on to someone else.
The domain is hosted at enom so the transfer is free. The site is currently hosted on my server and I am more than happy to keep it hosted there for a month or so. I am moving to a new hosting company in the next couple of weeks so if you wanted to keep it hosted there it means the site might be down one day when the dns switches over.
I am happy to answer any questions a potential buyer may have. I would prefer if questions were asked in this sales thread and not via pm so that I don't repeat myself over and over. Of course, I will answer any questions you do not want to ask publicly.
I will accept payment via escrow and direct bank transfer. I had a buyer a year or so ago reverse a payment via paypal and I lost a lot of money so as a rule I never use them now.
Earnings
I am not very active with the site or with making money with the site. However, it still manages to make $2,640 every year through text link ads ($220 per month).
It has made me $150 this month from pokerstars however those referrals are from when I used to have a pokerstars banner at the top.
Since I do not personally run the site on a daily basis, I have allowed the staff to advertise and setup games themselves through poker companies and have allowed them to keep 100% of the money. Therefore, I am unable to determine the true earnings of the site. With a little work I believe any new owner could get monthly earnings over $500 within 2 months (not really too hard considering its true earnings are probably around $300 per month already)
Traffic
search engines and direct traffic from members. The traffic is a lot lower than it once was but im sure an active owner would increase traffic very quickly. I have attached a screenprint of traffic.
