Gmail invites are not Gmail accounts - though Google prefer no accounts change hands they do not object to the transfer of invites.

Webname, you are wrong. The statement above refers to Google permitting bartering - not to any lack of objection towards selling invites. There are several websites around that allow people to barter e.g. exchange services for invites - they sprouted as soon as Google banned the selling of invites. An invite equals to an account.
