I'd say $40 is about it's money. Four numbers is a very loose target.

Definately more than the reg fee imho! They are quite an easy combination to remember and only four characters so gotta be worth $40 +

The top sites on alexa don't have numbers in them.

reseller: $60-$200
end user: $50-400

Try picking up any four digit .com at the drops for less than $60 and you might be surprised how hard it is if you haven't been following the prices they go for these days.

Uh....

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=163.com
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?q=&url=http://www.3721.com
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?q=&url=http://www.126.com
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=89.com

and so on....

Numeric domains are great because:

- They are language independent.
- There will always be someone who live at 2452 West something or have a phone number or lucky number that matches.
- People use number to identfy ALL kinds of things, like dates, zip codes, area codes, and so on. So while this number might not mean anything TO YOU, you can bet there is someone out there who would want this. Numbers are like lottery tickets (who knows when there will be another 9/11 or car model or federal regulation with this name).

Hi,

Number domains are interesting.

They can refer to many things, and as Sevent insightfully pointed out, “They are language independent.”

The fewer numbers in the domain, the more expensive because of the limited supply.

And the “type” of number makes a big difference.

Repeated numbers, such as 1111.com or 1212.com will have much more value, as will round numbers, and numbers that refer to something that everyone will recognize.

As a four-number domain with a fairly easy to remember sequence, I would say low to mid $xxx for an end user.

Good luck.

Couldn't help but notice this thread. I actually bought 3378.com a few days ago and paid $60. So if the old adage is true, "a domain name is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it", then I guess its worth $60.

Thanks for your input.

Did you buy it as a reseller or as an end user?

I always feel there is a great difference in the two values, and appraisals given by people don't always make it clear which is being referred to, although when the value seems very low (reg fees, $30 etc) it can normally be assumed that reseller value is being given.

A bit tough on the newbies if they don't understand this though.

These are going for $100+ right now due to the 4 number .com craze..less of these exist than 3 letter .coms (LLL - 26x26x26= 17,500+) (NNNN - 10x10x10x10 = 10,000)
I just sold 484.net for $500 so that might give you an indication of the market on numbers.....not really high but not really low either...definitely worth alot more than reg fee and increasingly rare for some reason..

$0. I don't get what someone could use that domain for if it means nothing.
