Wow, GUA!

You must be really rocking with your PPC rev, or whatever rev you're getting, because if you diss $.05 a day from a domain name you own, you're a sucker.

That's $10 a year gross profit - minus renewal fee, and depending on how much you've spent on building the site (at Whypark, it's a $.99 one time fee).

If you had 3,000 domains making $9 a year (at $.05 a day and $8 yearly renewal fee), you'd be pulling in $27,000 a year, with very little labor and upfront cost.

Nice little piece of cash to bolster your primary income if you work outside the domain industry.

I think the minimum amount of revenue most domain developers hope for is $.05 a day, if they aren't dumping hundreds or thousands of dollars in development.

And as others have stated here, with changing relevant content, some well placed backlinks, and some good CPA's, making even $20 a month is easy once you get the knowledge... and that's good money for anyone.

My take on this:

Websites get better SEO rankings based on how good the site is. Google is actually pretty clever. At the end of the day a static website with 5 pages of content that never changes will never do well.. (assuming $0.05 a day is not 'well').
nstantly. If you have thousands of good domains, hire people to develop them well and keep them updated.

No offence, I do truly respect you Rick, and your efforts but AEIOU and similar services simply flood the internet with bad websites.

Yes there are various steps you can take which will help you rank better, but these steps are my all definitions steps to make bad websites more popular as there is no other way of doing it,

Back and forth between carious parties about quality of minisites is pointless, as in the grand scheme of things all minisites suck.

If you have a good domain, do it justice, and develop it. Develop it properly, and update it constantly. If you have thousands of good domains, hire people to develop them well and keep them updated.

I completely agree......remember those PPC-Sites?....how many of those are out there all over the 'net?...even i myself had purchased 10 of these....as a test....all the same templates...different colors....scraped content...(some content not even relevant)...adsense all over...etc.....and made $0 on these!!!...not even 1 click....all that talk about increasing traffic with these sites...SEO....titles...etc....all BS!....what a waste of $$...(live and learn baby.....LIVE and LEARN!)....and now....we have the Wordpress version of these.....just remember......UNIQUE UPDATED CONTENT IS KING!!.....

Exactly !!! thats why I'm insisting that any kind of minisites are just bad choice and sometimes ( or even more likely ) waste of money , probably they will give some minor results but only and only if the domain is pretty good , but the point is that with such a good domain you can easily do much more with 10-15 min work daily simply putting wordpress with free theme and add content twice a week

Minisites can help with one thing: preserve your SERP while you are working on more serious development.
Parking will destroy whatever SEO the name already has.

Actually I have parked domains that do just fine despite being parked. But I witnessed some oddities with domains "at" Parked.com that Google decides to drop for periods of time, then they come back.

Lord, wake up late, still drinking my second cup of coffee and I have already found the quote of the day, the funny thread of the day, the joke of the day and now this...

The post of the day.

--------------------

Has anyone tried or know of a parking company where you can add an RSS feed to your parked page to keep the content fresh and relevant?

I know parked.com has some flexibility with inputting your own values.

And Bodis does also.

I was just curious.

With an RSS feed, your keywords and your links would always remain fresh and updated.

I find it amazing that mike031 has been posting all over the forum, but hasn't had the balls to come here and either defend his previous outburst, or apologise - classless act!

Rick and Ryan, it would be interesting to know what seo efforts do you employ, besides submitting to social bookmarking sites?

He should be lucky no lawsuit for defamation occurred so far.

Sometimes I feel like I am 9 years old again, I am on the playground during recess and there is some pushing and shoving going on behind the building out of view of the teachers.

Then I wake up and realize I am on dnf.

HEE!

I have not seen/heard that word in years.

Oh, I say it all the time.

"Dear, will you quit smacking please?" to my husband at dinner time :worried:

Or maybe you meant "talking smack"

Talking smack!

I love that term.

I used to hear it all the time in conversations.

In this case somebody is writing smack!
