Let me know if or what specific posts need to be removed.

We will stop pulling the sales specific areas into adamdicker.com

Thanks for posting and letting us know.
We didnt intentionally do it however we will block it from being pulled in.

We can also look into adjusting the way the search engines index that area.

Please ensure that all cctld's sale threads don't get pulled in as well. Muchly appreciated.

How about what I mentioned? The wordpress trackbacks? If you are pulling content from here to a blog, it shouldnt send a backtrack request to the advertised blog for a backlink, its bad enough dealing with the poker and viagra ones.

JP...you can visit my cat if you need to have the company...(it really is our cat)
http://mycat.ca/

Very creative! I looked up the other word for cat and that domain was taken. Too bad... mykitty.ca

great work adam! Thumbsup ~ very responsible admin :)
Should consider about only allowing verified reg member to browse the forum. Maybe hidding the sales forum from unreg visitors? Cheerio

A very wise decision by our forum admin :)

Much Appreciated by All Adam.

Thanks for the quick reply and action :thumb:

Just wondering: in order to avoid such issues in the future, why not post domain on a forum asking for best offer with link to your personal sales site with a BIN price??

This way you only need to change the price once rather than in each post. Would this work?

Since there are many blogs that basically pull content from other blogs and forums, this may be a workable way around it.

One very polite site team agreed to not pull the sales threads from here. But the rules of the universe states many not so nice guys are now going to pop up, pull the sales threads, and get the traffic Adam would've had from people interested in this content.

Could you please explain it in more details?
Is there any benefit from having another site archives/mirrors the content of dnforum.com? What is the purpose of adamdicker.com anyway? The same content can be found on dnforum.com... Is it beneficial to copy the content from here and place it on another website?

Hello :) I can only comment on the sales listings and what it means to me. As previously mentioned by others here... you can literally see the lowest price someone offered their name for sale at. On this forum some of us have the habit of clearing out our previous sale threads where another site may have taken our thread but not wiped it like we wanted.

I tend to wipe my sale offers here on these forums but you can still see them over there. With that information you are able to gather what my past highest offers have been and the lowest amount I was willing to sell the name at the time. Sure anyone can change their sale price for any reason at anytime but to know what a person was willing to let go of a name for before does mean something. Just like their financial situation or knowing what they paid for that name means something we all try to look beyond a "market price" for a domain name to know what offers to make to a person and gain an advantage or at very least a better understanding to make a better decision and a more calculated response. These extra details are all subjective and might not mean a thing to everyone but it does to some of us.... definitely me anyway.

The syndication has been removed today from the site.
There will be no sales posts syndicated after today on adamdicker.com.

Thank you very much for hearing us.

What about removing the RSS feature from DNF completely?

Valid point on the sales in RSS feed.
Maybe edit the xml file that generates the RSS and take out the sales part of the feed.
That way all the value that the DNF feed offers isn't just "gone"

That would be a bad idea for those who would like to stay up to date when thread on here :)

Maybe just remove the RSS for the sales forums as others mentioned?
