A savvy friend reported that Afternic is now using Scumware!!

He was using their Virtual Broker and his security program alerted him to the installation of (Gator) Scumware!!

Could this be Afternic's new low?

Can Afternic reach a new low after years of auctioning stolen domains and generally abusing their customers??

Yeah I remember going to afternic a little while back and it wanted to install that crock. As if pimping any software like that is not bad enough, they choose scumware that will remove revenue from their very customer base through the "helpful" text links.

I'm sure we'll see even more low blows from afternic over the coming months (if they survive that long).

 

They've also been approaching people offering them a cpm deal to host afternics parked page on their domains.

It all seems like they're trying to get their metrics up.
