I recently purchased Domain Seller Pro v1.5 and get the errors listed below when installing. Can some one please help!
My username, password, database name, etc is correct, so why do you think I'm having so much difficulty?
And my username is not "apache", why does it say that?

Warning: Access denied for user: 'apache@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/tripstar/www/www/domain/names/functions_inc.php on line 9

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for user: 'apache@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/tripstar/www/www/domain/names/functions_inc.php on line 9

hmm, deleted this post. RJ is probably the best to answer.

Did you change the value on the Username/Password/SQL info on the version you uploaded to your server?

$mysqlbase="database_name"; // MySQL database name
$mysqluser="username"; // MySQL database user
$mysqlpass="password"; // MySQL user password

$mysqlhost="localhost"; // MySQL hostname, usually set to "localhost"

make sure you have all the relevant " & ; in the above settings of your config_inc.php file.

also the path it is looking for the files in your error contains
/home/tripstar/www/www/domain/names/functions_inc.php

is the path you installed to http://www.yourdomain.com/www/domain/names/index.php
or should it be
http://www.yourdomain.com/domain/names/index.php

if its the second one then it looks like a path in the config_inc file has one too many www's in it and it means the script can't find any of the files it needs.

just a possibility.

scrap that... looking at the source the file its trying to get to sit's in the same folder as the file calling it. so it wont be the path.

umm... i guess just try checking the syntax is ok around the variables and if they are speak to rj

Hey, I'm glad I stopped by the forum today. I almost didn't. :)

Warning: Access denied for user: 'apache@localhost' (Using password: NO)

Those two bold parts let us know that no mysql username and password have been passed on to the installation script. My assumption here is that there's a php syntax error in your configuration file that prevents it from loading.

Please drop me a line at [email protected] and I'll help get this up and running for you.

This must be a simple case of human error, all of my dealing with -RJ- have been excellent and I know that is the situation with most people here.
Errors happen, but to post in the way that you have done is I believe unfair and commercially damaging - I would SERIOUSLY think about ammending your last post right away.

I second MrWebnames post. RJ must have his reasons for being unable to help you just yet.

But if you like i could take a quick look for you. i've been pulling this script apart recently to understand how it works so i know the code pretty much inside out by now...

if you do then pm me either your telnet/ssh login or your ftp details along with the domain it is installed on and i'll take a look.

I totally agree with you! And will edit the post immediately.

RJ sounds like a really nice guy! I just didn't know what to do.

I'm also sure there is a misunderstanding too.
