Any action would actually be against Oversee, no point in going after individuals.

Oversee's most obvious assets are over two million domains; ironically, if these were seized, they would have to be ... auctioned!

Officer (even US citizen) of a foreign company operating in US has no rights. I'm sure they do not know that. I can quote similar cases: (look Martin Armstrong vs Federal USA)
Court could held them in contempt forever.

I have two questions:
1. Did anybody ask who was the owner of SnapNames? I have my own answer here, but I want to listen first.
2. Do you know how to contact owners of Oversee? I have something for them at this point.

I recall one old backorder I had for a domain (nothing major, but was important to me), when an 'auction' didn't exist. The domain was registered by a snapnames partner (registrar) and I expected to receive the domain, but was told it was unsuccessful. I spoke to Kjel about it and he insisted that it was unsuccessful and some other backorder company got it. A couple weeks later it was on buydomains.com. I'm not saying buydomains was involved, but it was a fishy situation and I thought something wasn't quite right about it.. I had similar cases with better names, but this was one of the first that I remember.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, if you have lost signifigant money through this fraud, you should contact an attorney before accepting any settlement.

Another issue is registrars working with a drop auction company to release names with a lot of back orders and not used anymore, looks like easy pickens.

I discovered one this week and have bought the right to it, fight with registrar now and will update in a day or two giving the whole story. Name is private for now.

As a solo, I would never be class qualified. Aside from which I am an intellectual property attorney, and this is a commercial dispute.

Of course, this is an issue of concern to many. It seems that Snapnames has been upfront about what happened. It has taken them quite a while, though, to catch up with the allegations that have been floating around for some time. However, as VP of Engineering, Mr. Brady may have been able to derail internal investigations in the past.

A good move for SnapNames at this time would be to engage an outside auditor, since it would be reasonable to suspect the results of their internal investigation.

Somebody want to explain to me how Mr. Brady convinced Kjel and everyone else at Snapnames that he lived in the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant that he was using as his registration address??

You want to seize the personal assets of one individual? Assets which have mostly been siphoned off in the form of domains, and could be anywhere by now? You want to seize his house and car, and divide the proceeds up amongst thousands of domainers ... rather than sue the massive corporation which is clearly liable?

Interesting approach. You'll certainly have the element of surprise on your side.

Wait a second.

I just realized, I was in like 15 auctions he was in where me and him were the only ones, and he didn't bid.

But if he wouldn't be in those auctions, and I wouldn't get accustomed to the fact that he is in like every auction, then I wouldn't backorder and just register for $7. They owe me like ($69*15)-($7*15) = a bit under $1k. Not to mention all the time and hassle.

I'm getting this money back one way or another.

Look at the times...It has to be a script.

Possible. But that is also how a proxy bid acts. As soon as you put in a bid, if I have outbid you via proxy the time of bids will be identical.

I can see someone going $195 not wanting to break the $200 mark.

But, this appears to have been a private sale??? and not a snap drop. So he may have been bidding against the owner of the name.

Who knows.
