Is there anyway to see who was bidding against you on closed auctions?
There may be. But most importantly, SnapNames would have to disclose who this person was and what the user name is.

FROM DNN: [Updated] He was bidding under the username “halvarez”.
Well, that settles everyone's suspicions...

There gets even worse. The shill was not just some rogue employee, it was a VP.

Good to see so many using DNF

It sounds like they will only be refunding where the second highest bidder was halvares? I don't think it is fair to assume that if he bid up more than one other person then the auction was valid...

i.e.
Person 1 WINS $200
Person 2 BID $180
Halvares BID $160
Surely he has affected this example auction above? As was said, what happens in auctions where he was the only other bidder? Surely the other person should be refunded everything other than the cost of the backorder?

Did he ever win names...what will they do with those? Will they be reauctioned? He has always been a pain in my ass, I am glad he is gone...

I don't, I'm asking if Jeremy Caines is HAlvarez.
pcproffenno, SnapNames did not handle this perfectly. SnapNames is fraud.

I would suspect Nelson B. his email is out of office. but don´t take it as pure gold.

95% of every single auction I was involved in at SnapNames, had halverez bidding. For my account alone, we're looking at several hundred acts of fraud.

Take screenshots people, before they clean the system. This should be a class action lawsuit. Someone should end up in prison.

This is fraud. They knew very well what's happening as that was the "deal". VP of Eng does not bid for fun.

This is going to turn very ugly very quickly...

In my history since 07, these are the only domains I see him as having won:
joboom.com $2,150.00 $59.00 halvarez ended 3/10/2009 12:20 9-Feb-09
mykodak.com $159.00 $59.00 halvarez ended 12/15/2008 12:25 5-Nov-08
swinginchicks.com $625.00 $79.00 halvarez ended 6/16/2008 12:15 10-Jun-08
youteb.com $976.00 $59.00 halvarez ended 4/30/2008 12:40 13-Mar-08
chaetplanet.com $625.00 $59.00 halvarez ended 3/23/2008 12:15 19-Mar-08

I can see a history on the bidders in all the auctions I have participated in, go to order history and click the last/winning bidders name, will bring up a history of every bid, at least for me...

I had different accounts at snap and at Moniker and they were merged. To my surprise the registration history from the older account is in the merged account, but the auction history for those domains is missing :?:

I'm taking screenshots of every time halvarez bid up on my auction.

He was usually starting bidder, but I too believe the company is behind this and not the person himself. That's usually how it goes.

His portfolio should be scrutinized and names won in auction should be seized.

I think this is a much bigger and more serious issue than SnapNames wants to admit.

This violates so many federal and international trade laws.

Whatever auctioning/autioneering license that Snap is operating under should be suspended immediately.
