BuyDomains holds a name that i want badly but.... it's a .net priced like a .com (mid $XX,XXX for a .net with OVT in the XX XXX range)

Is there any way to negociate with this company? :?:

Thanks!

I bought a domain last month - high $XXXX and managed to negotiate $3000 off the sales price. Deals was done and dusted in a day and I was in control of the domain within 8 hours of the sale closing.

The best bet is to get on the phone and discuss it with them.

They do negotiate, just make sure to be smart about it.

Yes, i've bought a domain from them. It's funny that you mention the price...sometimes they have excellent domain names priced very low, but mostly the prices are inflated. In fact, the price was so low last time that I just bought it outright, no negotiation.

yeah I bought a few from them ...always call and negotiate...deals are done fast and they do come down reasonably.

They do negotiate and can be reasonable when it comes to pricing.
It should be possible to bring the domain home with 1/3 of their asking price.
Do not expect a steal though - their target base is the end users, not resellers.

After looking up a name (having to enter my email to get to the pricing)
I found it to high, and for weeks after I kept getting emails about the name. Each time the offer got lower.

but...never low enough for me to make the buy.
this happened from what looked like auto/email.

I buy about 1 or 2 from them every month and they do negotiate, but this depends largely on the domain your going after, if their getting good traffic and revenue from it, you wont find them very negotiable.....This last domain I bought was priced at $1800, it was a good brandable domain with not much traffic, I was willing to pay $1500, so I offered $800 and they came back with a offer of $1200 so I grabbed it, perhaps I could of gotten it for even less if I played the game, but I thought it was a good deal already. Names like this one would of fetched 3K-4K at Snapnames on a drop, compliments of bidders who at times pay far more than what a domain is worth.
