If you have an account with bunch of godaddy backorders you don't want cause they haven't worked for you, I might be interested. I'm not looking for 1000 backorders or anything....maybe like 10 or 20.

PM me.

me either, can you push the backorder credits or are you wanting someone to sell you the actual GD account with the credits on?

The user "mike031" was selling an account for $10k with over 1,200 backorder credits on it. If you can push them you may want to try and contact him.

yeah I did see that. i don't need 1200 backorders though, more like 5. Besides, If I had a spare 10k lying around, I'm sure I'd find a better way to spend it then on godaddy backorders :)

And to answer the previous question, yes you have to "buy someone's account". Sometimes people get tired of repeatedly not catching anything and are willing to sell off their backorders. I've done it a few times.

GoDaddy backorders were terribly ineffective.

Has anything changed?

My assumption is the names they are backordering must be registered at Godaddy, otherwise, they would use another 3rd party backordering system.

And it wasn't previously with Godaddy.

Not much has changed Hal, but if you don't want to have to bid against people and pay an outrageous price for a mediocre name, then godaddy is your ONLY chance.

Depending on exactly how many names you intend on backordering, I can hook you up with an account that will enable you to buy backorders for between $4.00 and $7.25 per name. There is some cost up front.

PM me for details,
David

So if someone backorders a domain name with godaddy then no one else can touch and it's yours if the owner doesn't renew it?

Actually, when the current auction system came in, a number of people sold their accounts with backorders. A bid on the auction pushes the backorder to worthless on GoDaddy names.

hi, what does happen to a GoDaddy backorder if they do not catch the name?
Do you still have1 credit or the money is gone?
Cheers

I don't know if this is correct.
If you buy a backorder you bought a backorder.
You can edit the domain name that is associated with that backorder for many reasons.
1. GoDaddy didn't catch the domain.
2. You don't want it anymore.
3. The domain name was renewed. The original owner didn't let it expire.
4. you want to backorder a different domain w/ GoDaddy and don't have $18.95

I don't think you can get your $18.95 back.

If you bought a backorder and it was unsuccessfully used, why should they
issue a credit?

If you backorder 3 or more names per month you can save money by signing up for investors edge @ $29.95/mo. through a reseller. Or if you are interested in backordering even more names you can get the cheapest names by becoming a reseller yourself. PM me if you need more info. as there is no advertising allowed in this section.
