Hi there,

I saw some nice domain names at BuyDomains.COM, but all domains at BuyDomains.COM start at $688!

Has anyone ever bought a domain there?! Are these guys for real?!

I bought a domain from them a few years ago, the name was a decent one that I turned around quickly. They had it priced at $288.

I think all their names are priced differently, ending with 88. If yours is 688, then chances are your name is a little nicer than the one I bought. :)

They're for real. Like any business with a showroom floor, some people see more of what they want than others. There seems to be some people who love them here.

Perhaps they will speak up about it and give more detail.

They had a name priced at $688 and I offered $200. They did not accept it and I let the matters rest there. Seems they are for real. Otherwise why would they refuse $200 ? Or refuse my offers to negotiate.

Okay,

It seems like you ppl are have the same experiences I have with them. They are extremely expensive, but I have to admit they have some nice names!

Maybe it's a good luck number '8' thing...you should have offered $208 :D

They are not interested in resellers, but people with business plans that need just one name to start it off. $688 is just a way of saying, cheapskates and resellers, don't even bother to waste their time.

Be prepared to pay anything between 2k and 10k for a name, unless its a grossly ugly one.

Of course, most of us who have been following the drop scene know they got it for close to peanuts. :)
