Was this their first offer? If it was, i would shoot for more, no one tells the seller how much they're willing to pay on first shot

Make a counter offer for $1200 and see what happens.
the first offer was $125 at sedo, his max price was 350, which I think is too low, I get offers for this domain once every 2-3 months, but never more than 300-400, it has ok traffic too, but given the name i guess its tricky to create a valuable commercial site out of it...thanks for your input guysSouthernTn said:

Used to be a site called Rootshell.org (dunno if it's still up, it's been years) that was very popular.
Question though, any sort of targetted advertising is going to suck, where are you going to get your money from if you develop it? Maybe ads for penetration testing and security audits...

I own hacking.biz and have been unable (yet) to interest any end users.
Maybe by its very nature anyone who would use such as site is loath to pay for it.
Suggest you use it to house forums and have a press release handy the next time someone hacks into a big bank, air traffic control etc. Send the press release to all media outlets to answer the question "Where do they learn to do things like this?" Ride the traffic wave of other media, curious, and law enforcement visitors with PPC and subscription fees. Then sit back and wait to do it again.
