Cause I'm the man dude

idea: you post some details of the domain...like what the overture ext with score is and general ideas about it, .i.e. is it generic, a typo, have numbers in it, tm issues, etc..then you allow people to "bid" on them with DNF$ and start at say 250 DNF$ and maybe have a "BIN" DNF$ amount to get the name instantly..and then set a short time period for people to bid, or maybe the same time frame every day so people expect to be here (or wherever this takes place)...and then the highest DNF$ bidder gets the domain name!
And if you don't register it then you still pay...thats the gamble and this way the finder (who put in all that HARD work..lol) is protected and we are all happy..and you might just get a GEM traffic domain for next to nothing...
Now this seems alot cooler and way more fair to everyone and there obviously would be admin recourse if the person registered the domain and did not donate since they bid on it and that makes it a deal! :)

Thats been tried before in the dnf$ forum , it doesn't work because they want to know the domain or no bids come along.

I honestly believe 250 DNF$ is not much, and by donating, it will be a strong motivation for the donars.

It should be a rule that donations *must* be given for any domains registered. Just my opinion. I have always been sticking to this rule. If you dont have DNF$, go buy some. There is no free lunch in this world. Its all about give and take.

I agree on part - but in that case, they need to re-word the title, etc.

A donation is voluntarily given, so it shouldn't be required. Instead it should be mandatory payment.

exactally, and i think for the most part everyone believes in a "donation" for some work that is done for them. Its something that has always been the choice of the person that has registered the domain, and it hasnt been too much of a problem till now it seems.

Send lists via PM to people you know who have sent DNF$ :) like me!

<-- always pays DNF for regg'ed domains! The situation will work itself out.

Best,

Roy

PS Chris has a good idea. It may cost a good chunk of change to register some of the lists that have been posted though, and with the gamble they will all be sold.

I agree, there are many here who donate every single time, me too. Just compose some sort of ovt w/ext PM list and PM your list to the subscribers, if someone fails to donate they get kicked off the list.
