I believe that might have been a stolen domain. It had bad WHOIS for a while, and then mysteriously switched registrars. I'd be careful to make sure that it had a good chain of ownership every step of the way.

The Wayback records are incomplete, but if one goes back to:

http://web.archive.org/web/20020211010334/www.beat.com/interior.html

(screenshot made at http://www.loffs.com/images/beatarchive.gif in case the above URL disappears)

there's a link to the "Is this domain name for sale" page. Alexa didn't archive the for sale page, but when it was up and running, it said they wanted offers of $500,000 or $1,000,000 or some other very high price. That was way back when the name was at NSI, but with bad WHOIS data. After that, the provenance of the name becomes more muddy.

Hrmm...

The offer was sent to me after I posted on the wanting domain, and we haggled for a bit [there was no pushing/forcing the domain on me].

The deal went smoothly with escrow ... it was locked, took 24 hours to unlock, and the transfer request went without a hitch.

I have had the domain for a little bit of time, and nobody has emailed me of any sorts.

As such, I believe the domani with my ownership is 'clean' as I am sure I did nothing wrong :)

I'd say about 5-10 K realistically. Not sure how it would be developed but I'm sure someone could come up with something good. :)

I was looking at purchasing this domain for $12,500 - Less than a month ago. But decided against the acquisition thereafter another (somewhat better priced) deal went through. In any case, I was expecting to sell for $16,000-$20,000. Thus, that is what I will appraise this domain at; $16k-$20k.

Good luck Ahmed.
