Having gone over this whole thread, I'll contribute by saying that once I glanced at the name, I was thinking ~$30k.

They're two solid keywords. But they'll take skill to monetize. I (or anyone here for that matter) could monetize a two keyword name like "Car Insurance" or "Cheap Airfare" with their eyes closed.

That's because those keywords

a) represent something tangible and relatively standard

b) have well-established affiliate infrastructure to make setting up the monetization strategy easy

c) go from start to finish in a relatively procedure transaction (for car insurance you enter your credentials and get contacted with a quote, for cheap airfare you enter when and where you want to go, how many passengers, etc.)

Body language is none of these things, as

a) it can mean so many things, while something like car insurance is relatively straightforward

b) having no immediate product associated with it, does not have a pre-built monetization system to suit the keywords

c) pointing to no particular product, going through with a transaction of some sort which monetizes the site will be a shot in the dark, unless you make it an ad farm trying to sell too many things and convert every possible viewer

Fortunately, these keywords are not junk. They so happen to have a direct application to things such as sales strategies, dating, and social skills.

Quite the mixed bag. This is where it gets complicated.

There's absolutely no doubt that the internet has changed everything I just mentioned. However, there is also no doubt that out of those three, the most monetized is dating.

So, if I were the owner of this name with an intent to develop it, I would do something to the effect of a review site for different body language guides, linking to clickbank products, and perhaps blog regularly to drive traffic.

But as I said... this will take skill to develop. It's no weekend project.

If you have a mid $xx,xxx offer, I'd take it. That could just be because I'm not about passive income, and would rather just get the lump sum.

The most amazing thing in this thread that I read is that someone paid $38,000 for BornRich.com. Am I missing something here because that is about 380x more then I would think that is worth.

On the OP's subject, domain would be a good content site or selling an ebook about how to interpret body language, you'll have a lot of 16-21 year old guys eating it up.

If you got an end user willing to pay mid $XX,XXX take it and run. Domain is only worth that much to not even a handful of people in the world probably and you found one.

BodyLanguage.com ticks every box, a very interesting field to many and a term known by 90% of the population.

It's very suitable for advertising in numerous fields, "HOW TO READ CHICKS", "MAKE FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE", "IMPRESS YOUR BOSS", ...

Some really good posts in this thread, thank you to all that have responded.

-=DCG=-

then take it and run - i have enough experience to tell your domain is worth only the price the end user is offering you - TAKE IT AND RUN otherwise your domain is nothing special!!!!

That's a lot of exclamation marks. Why so rude Hope? You can get your point across without being too pointed.

I was not aware, using exclamation marks is considered rude. Thank you for teaching me a lesson.

Don't blame me for being honest and not one word of mine is intended to be rude rather to point out how blind some of us are in this business that we throw numbers at things like we know what were talking about, their are so many well 2 word combined .com's out their and you'll be lucky if you get $10,000 for it in the current market.

The list of End Users that can benefit from this domain is limited - spirtuality, sex, yoga, fashion? okay if you say so.

Adam's portfolio is priceless and I will always respect him. I love the man and I assure everyone and anyone reading that I ain't a hater rather a person who is honest and bold at times when it comes to such threads where people jump into the wagon and throw numbers like its 10 years ago.

The domain is worth what the end user will pay.

Single word .com's are selling for dirt cheap.

You just can't see the dollars because it doesn't have DOLLARS.COM written all over it.

I'm sorry your argument is poor.

the domain is useless

Calling any domain useless is wrong and untrue, every .com has value (minimum reg fee). I assure you my choice of word was wrong and I apologize for it. What I meant to say is that the domain has a limited value in the aftermarket VS End User Market.

You keep advising Adam of the reseller market for BODYLANGUAGE.COM in the 4 figure range?

He makes 4 figures every day with exclusive memberships.

It's a 10,000 hits/day information product.

Body language is seen as a science, especially in dealing with international business where language barriers may arise. Understanding and properly interpreting the different cultures and their body languages is essential. Creating a website to properly educate people of the different cultures in regards to their body languages may be an idea.
Good luck!
