I just won BooksApp (dot) comisking.

I see many opportunities with this one, and just wanted to hear your ideas on this domain name. Thanks.

- What would be best use with it?
- What do you think it is worth?

Best regards,

M. Unal

I've sold quite a few app domains...this seems like an easy sell in the $400-$750 range - maybe $1k for the right person. For comparison, I'd think that BookApp(s) would sell in the low-mid x,xxx range - potentially even higher.

Cheers,

Thanks for your thoughts on this, Midgetlov. So you feel that the plural "apps" is more valuable? Interesting. I would have thought that this singular would be more valuable.

I have sold a ******app.com for $xx,xxx a year ago or so and have many offers on the app(s).com domains I have.

This one I don't intend to sell, but to develope it.

Do you have any ideas what it could be about? I have something in mind, but I am open to any ideas while I'm in the brainstorming-stage.

Thanks again for your thoughts.

The value of app vs. apps depends on the intended use of the domain. For example, "MovieApp" could be a good for a company that has developed only one specific app for finding movie times, but "MovieApps" would be better if that company had several different apps within that category (movie times, ticket purchase, rentals, release date, etc).

That said, what hurts the value of BooksApp is the fact that the first word is pluralized.

As far as development ideas...perhaps a book search engine app where the results are monetized through an affiliate program?

Whatever you end up doing, good luck with the project!

Cheers,

-Midgetlov
