Bruins ALLLL the way!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just saying... I'm a Bostonian oh and they ARE that good!

Should have been Montreal instead of Boston! Montreal vs Vancouver in the final would have been great.

I was at the final game last year when the cup got presented to the Blackhawks. If Chara would learn how to shoot straight maybe Boston can score a power play goal ...

Looking forward to the Winter Classic to be played in the Phillies baseball stadium on Jan 2.

Oh it's ON! I have surgery June 1 so missing the first game but I'm flying into Boston after it going to try to catch 1! GO BRUINS!!!!

A good, yell at the players and they can hear you, seat is running about $2K.

Watch what you say. Legend has it that in the '74 finals one of the Boston fans yelled to the Flyers coach to "put Schultz in to get this over with" so the coach replaced Bill Barber with Dave Schultz .... and Schultz got the assist on the overtime winner. You can see Esposito diving to try to make the save when the goalie was down. This was the turning point of the series. The Flyers were just an expanision team and their announcer was a teacher at my high school. When they first started he got $50/game to broadcast just the third period on radio.

How do you get a job as one of those green men?

They don't get paid - they act like idiots for free.

I wanted to see Pittsburgh vs Vancouver for the Stanley Cup but injuries made sure that didn't happen.

Vancouver in six. :ok:

Well maybe I can do something in orange for the Winter Classic.

As for this series if Boston doesn't get their power play going I think they will go down pretty quickly. I can see why they want Chara out there on the pp but his shooting is so annoying. He takes too long to try to aim and it rarely works out anyway. Boston should station men at the face-off dots when Chara shoots from the point and maybe one will bounce off a shin pad and go in.

I am going to say it will be the Canucks winning in 4 or 5 games. Montreal is my team but I've been watching the Canucks and they are healthy and have all the pieces in place. After they got past Chicago it just got easier and easier for them. SanJose went to game 7 overtime with Detroit, and Vancouver took SJ no problem in 5. I think it will be a very lopsided series, look out Boston.

I think it is going to be a great series. I'd like to see the Canucks bring it home simply because of the first cup if they win.

Then again, love the history of the Bruins.

In other news, gee...what a surprise - the Thrashers are moving. How many teams are going to experiment in Atlanta only to move away?

Canucks take first game 1-0. The only chance Boston has is that they have a hot goalie, but when the Canucks keep coming eventually some pucks will get by. Hopefully Luongo stays up to par. I still say Vancouver in 4 or 5.

Damn, I fell asleep, woke up and Jimmy Fallon was on. Last thing I remember was Boston controlling the Vancouver end and Vancouver's goalie stopping everything.

The game was exciting for a 0-0 game, all you needed to see was the last 19 seconds to get the full picture.

Go Canucks Go!

Boston moved Chara from the point to in front of the net (they must read DNForum). He screens the goalie but he is not a puck handler so when the puck dropped at his feet he was too big to do anything with it. Olus, the main point of having him on the PP is to play defense if the puck goes the other way. This was a desperation move by Boston which they should have not have done in a game 1. Hamhuis was tearing up the ice until he got injured.

Mercy! With an assessment like that, you should be blogging for the Bruins. Great summary!

Bah...nearly every player on the ice is a Canuck, eh?

I just heard about the biting incident, wonder if there will be a suspension.

about 80% of teams that win game 1 go on to win the series. just sayin'

Vancouver needs to do something about the background music such as replacing Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson with the Ramones and Nine Inch Nails.

In Cali since college but Boston is always in the blood...go Bruins :)
