I am considering reorganizing the way we view cctld's on dnforum by placing them under one roof.

What I mean is having a main section called:

.ca domain names - Canada
with the following sub forums:

.ca Domain Sales
.ca Domain Discussions
.ca TBR - Expired Domains
.ca Registrars / Dropcatchers reviews
.ca Rules of Ownership
.ca Geo Domains - Other extensions
.ca Legal section

If this works, all ccTLD sections will be redone.

Please feel free to suggest more or less sections.
How would you like to see it setup?

I think it is a good idea. Don't know for other extensions, but .ca seems to be a popular place on the forum.

I won't do it for shitty extensions.

But I am tired of going to platinum for .ca sales and gold for .ca discussions.

if only ICANN knew what words you use to describe their extensions.

It'll make things more organized, so I say go for it. Try making the .ca section a pilot project

lol, some are definitely shitty. ;)

Soon everyone with $185,000 will be able to register their own extension LINK, so will need to create a new section for each of these. It is better to start organizing it now :), than later.

I thought that a lot of inactive subforums on DNF would be removed.

That's what I am working on now, but active ones need better organization as well.

I think the way you describe above is a great way to structure the .ca section. It will keep it tidy and a bit more focused. Let me know if you need any help.

Can we have similar forum for ".com"?

EG: .com discussion, etc. It would honestly be really useful to me since I mainly participate in the .com sector.

Yes, I am trying to figure ways to make the forum more organized and sometimes we need to add sections to do that.

On an aside, I am only personally interested in .com and .ca.

Others may be only interested in .mobi ;) who knows.

Sounds good, maybe use the .ca as a test and see if its adapting well enough to move on with others. All those topics look right but one may be a dog.

Please send out a PM or e-mail when it is ready.

I can't really do that to just the .ca people.

I'll post in this thread so get an email update.

Okay - but if you do restructure, then this thread will be somewhere else, right? I mean the direct link might not work any more, although people could still find it listed under the forum directory of ccTLDs.

I like the idea, under the .ca Canada section you could also add a subsection like "Canada related domains in other extensions" or "Canada GEOs - other extensions".

This would be for .com, .net and other extensions where the domain might be of particular interest to Canadians - like TorontoHomes.net or VancouverStores.org. These sometimes get lost in other sales sections.

Also maybe a ".ca Legal Help" section
