I think Camgirls works better than Webcam without the s and Webcam seems better for an electronics company like logitech to have for marketing their product so... i'm guessing that's why Webcam com sold so high, because of the double mega-industry interest.

If 10 year revenue is not good what is? Probably going to be way less so it must have been a great price for this.

In this economic climate a name like that is 7 yrs tops, IF. You wouldnt find 10 yrs anywhere yourself. The name carries no real value once void of revenue.

There is no 10x better name than this. I have had poor results with videosecrets too, webcams contacted me - maybe I will try them next (do they have white label yet?!!) I am still learning appraisals but 10 year current revenue (growing market) sounds like a good deal to me...

It depends, it is not as straight forward as you would think.

I am not saying 10x revenue is bad for a generic .com, I am saying not all generic .com's are created equal and when looking at this one there is no value/premium above a yearly multiple. Maybe that doesnt matter to the buyer but for someone savy it is very important. In fact a generic .com could be so premium its value far exceeds and reasonable multiple, these are the ones you should aim for at 10x +/-, IF you can find them, patience is involved but it is possible.

A so-so two word generic dot com based solely on revenue and carrying no real value in and of itself is around 7 yrs in todays market, automatic 10 no more from my experience. Again not all names created equal!

Should revenue drop for any reason before the 10+++ yrs the buyer is losing, period.

Again you are clearly still learning. Show me ONE area where camgirls is better than webcam. Not in search, not in traffic, not in ovt/w history, NO WHERE. It may be a targetted name but not a better one than webcam, sorry.

Your the type of buyer who starts out over paying and by year 2 learned some hard dollar lessons. Fads come, fads go, not all names are equal and the worst thing you can do is make it personal, the facts dictate to me what i do, not my heart.

I think the domain CamGirls.com its top congrats Bionic ! If it makes $100 a day i would value it at 8 years revenue also because of the quality of the domain $280,000 . But im sure a end user would easly pay easly the millions because of how brandable it is i think this is a domain that can only go up in value because of the speed the porn industry is growing im sure you will make a good profit.
About webcam.com i also think its a great domain i also think it can be used not only for porn but i also think it can be used as a social networking site like myspace or facebook but only specialize in webcam conversations it has huge potential could basicaly be a webcam directory as you guys know its worth in the millions.

We ( partner and I who is also a dnf member ) had a chance for several weeks to buy at that price. We passed as we had 6 figures already tied up and adult had been hit/miss for us in the past. On top of ths we had the chance ( and took it ) to buy another name which worked out well in the end too.

Shortly after passing I decided lets go for it, we checked and it was too late, Rick got it as the guy may have been shopping it (assumed).

Do I regret not getting it, yes and no, when someone actually pays $1M, then I will lol

I agree with you 100% JP - this domain has no extensive value void of the revenue its making, if it even still is producing the same figures. If revenue was not taken into account this would be a high $XXXX to possibly low $XXXXX domain. 10 yrs revenue is completely outlandish, revenue can drop off at any moment and youd be stuck with a brandable domain with slight revenue - i think you overpaid about $125-150k

200 uniques a day is pretty typical for a premium IMO.

Do you have a link to the $120K price tag on webcam.com? It gets 2000 uniques
a day, webcam traffic converts well so it should make that in a year.

Have a browse around www.livejasmin.com and count the 1000s of women charging
$5 a minute! Then tell me camgirls.com is worth $5K. Or did you mean $5K a minute HAHA
