Canadians - wondering about use of a word

Is "defence" commonly used in .ca rather than "defense" as it is in the .us? As in a legal sense particularly, traffic, tickets, etc.

defence is the proper spelling (at least, according Word spell check)

Thanks. I believe both are correct spellings, mostly wondering what is more commonly used in Canada. Got an inquiry, considering value to a Canadian.

defense comes up as mispelled on my computer - i would think Canadians would only use defence (could be wrong)

Defence is the British spelling too.
