What do you want me to say, $1,000,000? Will that satisfy you? Its not my honesty thats in question here, its the value of the domain. And my honest appraisal is $15. Its not my fault the domain isnt worth millions, few are these days. Dont cry about it

the true value of a domain is what you originally paid for it,......... as that is its original worth !!
however .....the BIG unknown is what the value of the domain is to someone who may be currently looking for that exact domain..or similar!!
if you lock up the domain and nobody knows its for sale, then its worth zilch.....however if you market it ,you have to decide yourself how much you can squeeze out of it in order to get a sale!!
If it were mine ...i would list it at www.urlbuyers.com
www.afternic.com www.easyemails.co.uk etc
for around $1000 and see what happens....whilst looking around for "real buyers" as well.

hope this is more of the type of help you were asking for!!
(p.s. if you sell it i got casinosporting.com 4 sale .. lemme know lol)

best of luck
happy selling

Well-said KLICKMARKET, although I would advise against posting it on Afternic.

The problem is that "casino program" is not a common term. Therefore, the domain is not worth that much.
However, it IS worth SOMETHING.
After, all search on google for "casino program". You will find domains such as "casinoaffiliateprograms.com" and "bestcasinoprograms.com" and even "casino-affiliate-programs.org". Clearly your name is much better than all of these. So I'd peg it at $200.

MCJ wished he knew everything. For the record i am not whining.I just find it pathetic that people have a appraisal forum and they are far too critical. This is supposed to give folk an idea how much to resell thier names. If we all sold our names for $15 there would be no-one here.So put that in your pipe and smoke it.Afternic was a joke on appraisals it looks like this place will be the same. Thanks for your advice folks in future i will go elsewhere for decent opinions.

Your confusing the words "critical" & "honesty." Either control your adolescent emotions, or go cry the blues somewhere else.

Its an appraisal thread - people post THEIR opinion of a name.

Its up to the domain holder as to how they interpret what has been posted and by whom.

Klick, appraisals are for both positive and negative. Ego stroking is an entirely seperate thing and I don't see a forum heading for that.

It's an amazing contrast between Afternic and DNForum. Aftenic appraisals went to an incredible extreme in over-inflating the values, whereas these forums are the exact opposite, frequently an extreme in under-valuation. What a contrast between the two! Any ideas why this seems to be so?

I think a more realistic value is more likely a middle ground between these two extremes. Hey, that's an idea. Ask for appraisals at both places, or look them up if already done, and average them for a realistic value. But wait, can't do now that AN has shut it all down.

safesys,

i notice you very quickly snipped off the offending part of that message.., (i still have it)

the abuse is what is concerning ....you know it was offensive.... and i am appalled that you are defending that type of posting!!
as in its completeness it was totally offensive.

i assume you will be taking action outwith public knowledge ??

When someone can't see value in what you hold, it can seem like a personal attack - but it needn't be. Some people value based on resale somewhere like ebay. Others value based on ideal end user sales.

The void between the 2 is huge.

I don't think anyone should take appraisals too seriously - and that goes for the "paid for" appraisals too.
