If you have a really strong keyword I would reg one. If you are planning on developing a site with a name go for it. If you are thinking about registering to resell the name make sure it is a really good name. Otherwise, with the current reg fee most do not prefer .cc names. Rather they stick with the TLD .com/.net/.org/.biz/.info

MOD we may want to move this to the Domain Registration Discussion > TLD Discussion instead of the Appraisal forum

Has to be a really good one word or two word
combo to be worth to register a .cc if you want
to resell it.

I see o.k. one word .cc names go unbought
for under $20 at auction.

But when the other extensions all get used up,
more people will be turning to .cc, since it is
usually one of the extensions that is shown when
you hunt for names at a registrar.

You can check the changing value of extensions in the market at www.dnjournal.com which are based upon actual sales. You'd be REALLY surprised what stuff fetches :D

.cc will be worth more than .info because it is much shorter.

.cc is currently a VERY weak extension.

That may change in the future, but right now even GREAT words with .cc are selling for $xx in the reseller market.
