Anyone likes .co.ee (estonia) extension?

I have 3 good names in this extension.

Chat.co.ee
Domain.co.ee
Estonia.co.ee

[mod]Care! There is NO co.ee extension! It is a private subdomain only.[/mod]

Are you selling the names ?

I think the extension has little chance in the mainstream market, however you have three very good domestic (home market) ones there; especially estonia.co.ee. Best of luck.

Thanks aZooZa for your comments.

Would like to have more opinions.

Hi,

I have 26 of them,

I get about 1- 2 visitors a day (sometimes none) 17 of them are pointed to my traffic reseller site so i think its curiosity not "type in so to speak"

Good luck if you are selling them as estonia.co.ee is the better one and might have some value.

Good luck.

Thanks Money-Raker.

I believe you have a.co.ee --- z.co.ee. Right?

Good luck to you too. :)

I have checked www.eenet.ee and found that:
Official estonian extentions are - edu.ee gov.ee riik.ee lib.ee med.ee com.ee pri.ee aip.ee org.ee fie.ee and .ee itself. Domain registration under is open only for the institutions registered in Estonia.
Accordingly, co.ee is simply a privately-owned domain name:
$ whois co.ee
[Querying whois.eenet.ee]
[whois.eenet.ee]

The registry database contains only .EE, .COM.EE, .PRI.EE, .FIE.EE,
.ORG.EE and .MED.EE domains.

Registrant:

TEL 050 67 637
FAX 6338507

Domain Name: co.ee

Contacts:
Gren-C. Kass [email protected]

Record created on 08-Oct-2001
Record changed on 08-Oct-2001

Domain servers:
ns2.elkdata.ee
ns.elkdata.ee

Registrar: EENET
URL: http://www.eenet.ee/EENet/dom_reeglid.html (in estonian)
URL: http://www.eenet.ee/EENet/ee-tldomreg.html

So, subdomain purchase with co.ee is somewhat similar to uk.com or eu.com - those private companies also sell subdomains under second-level domain they own (www.centralnic.com)

I live in estonia
Never even heard off co.ee ext before I saw them here.
Noone uses them, so its only a waste off money.

EuroDNS.com is selling this extension as if this is the valid extension for estonia.

Original post is now edited by me. This thread will be closed unless there are compelling reasons to keep it alive. I'll check back tomorrow.

Hi,

This is a valid extension same as uk.com /us.com /de.com (prove me wrong and i'll edit the post)

Whois service can be found at eurodns.com

After all its a disscusion on the .co.ee extension so let him discuss it (i've had my fun with my names)

So why not let him have the thread kept open same as it were to be uk.com discussion.

Would you close those threads??

Thanks.

All meant in the nicest way possible.

.uk.com, us.com are not "extensions" but actual domains, just like google.com is. Companies like Centralnic offer sub-domains of their domains but ultimately centralnic owns all sub-domains under their domains, not you.

throwing one use out there, maybe for electrical engineers

The reason that it is a candidate for closure is that other members might be misled into thinking that the subdomain co.ee is a bona fide extension of the .ee ccTLD -- which according to the .ee registry, it isn't. I think this has now been made clear enough, so feel free to continue discussion of this privately-owned subdomain. Thanks.

I am from EuroDNS who sell the .co.ee, .co.ee is the only one possibility for the moment to get an Estonian Domain name outside of Estonia, and the .co.ee is shorter as the original .com.ee extension that is available next to .ee. .co.ee is a 2nd Level TLD like .co.uk or .com.pt or .de.com. For sure it is not the official one like .de.com, but better a non-official Domain as no Domain. If someone has questions about this extension I would be happy to answer it.

Regards,

Freddy
