Date me just sold for $70000 at T.R.A.F.F.I.C..
All the other .Me names also sold!
.Me domains are really getting more and more popular.

Would have been nice if more of the Dot .Com's had sold however

Did rape.me sell after date.me ?

The ones that sold are brandable and short. Kiss, date - the best one was marry.me for just $12k

cute short names. me make some sense

but after that i dont get that ext.

IMO

Let's see what happens to Date.me. If it will be developed and promoted or simply parked.

I hope the former. It will be good news of .me owners.

Please, don't repeat the .mobi pattern all over again.
Yes, developed names multiply their intrinsic value, however, this one is an obvious "hack" that works well for the intended use. This, along with the other large .me sales are plays on words, such as "Love me", "Marry me", "Date me", "Kiss me" etc.

Now, those who register bakedpizza.me and longjump.me are not using their brain much.

does anyone have any clue if area codes with .me extension have this type of value also? (ex. 212.me, , 718.me, 818.me)
thanks

at this point.. I'd say your money is safer with the equivalent .mobis LOL...

Yea I think it could be a potential goldmine if they marketed it as aggressively as eHarmony or Match.com. Great find IMO. $70K though! Damn....

Acro hit it on the head.

This is just a niche market for a few good domain hacks.

This is not evidence of a new bubble extension like dot mobi.

By the way. Whatever happened to that?

Just underlines that you need to exploit your own intelligence, however pitiful, rather than blindly following the advice of the so called Guru's. They may or may not know what they are doing, but their ramblings for public consumption are just bait for their hook.
