Agree with Varchar, low to mid xxx.xxx. Also if you plan to develop, take Acro's advice and avoid referencing known TM's.

Nice domain ;)

I did buy it for development, and its out of the google sandbox.

So all I have to do now is get some get an innovative, profitable, world class idea, then somehow manage to find someone to get me to the top of results in all major search engines for 'shopping','credit cards','insurance' and 'loans'.

Then give it 20 years and I might start to break even. ;)

er.. make it 2 years and it's a great plan :ok:
To get these serps you'll need to compete with some of the largest companies in the world
Although everything is possible.. Ranking for 'loans' alone can bring a few thousand bucks per day in leads ;)

I was kidding. lol.

I'd estimate at 20 years on those terms you'd be a close to, if not beyond, a billionaire.

I'd be able to get some decent ranking for 2nd tier keywords though.

Very nice.
Mid to high $xx,xxx.

Always develop.....

Very nice name, what a catch :D

I'd say close to high $xx,xxx - reseller. Probably a few hundred grand, enduser

Thats the previous owners website. I am working on putting up a new one, but dont want to put it to a parking page as it is currently about 15th in google for the search term "depot". It would be a good base to build upon SEO-wise.
Smart (and safe) thinking.

$150K on a bad day.

Good day? What ever the hell someone wants to throw at ya!

Depot is so generic that it could ultimately be used for anything.

Approaching 7 figs not out of the question.

Nice one John - I'd say low $xxx, xxx should be easy enough.

I sell a lot of domains retail to companies and non-domainers, I have sold domains that dont even compare to your recent snag, for $100k and up. If that were in my portfolio I woudnt let is go for any less than $200,000.00.

Sit on it and have fun with it. Lots of ways to use that one...

I guess you can apply depot.com to any product. Also you can imagine a high-street store called 'Depot'. 50k to 100k

I have sold domains that dont even compare to your recent snag, for $100k and up.

Out of interest, can you reveal which ones were sold for 100k+ ?

I just sold the plural (depots.com) on snapnames for 19.4k. This should go for 100k+ pretty easily. Good luck with the name.

250k easily. dont forget 'office depot' as well
