I am close to completion on the Domain Tracking Software i have been writing and using in the past few months. I want to know if anyone here would be interested in buying it.

Features:

All data stored in binary and/or XML format.
Easy import/export. Share data you want with your friends or publish it on the web.
Export to various standard formats like excell, etc.
Incremental search, filtering, bookamrking and sorting on domain names, creation, expiration and update dates.
Both parsed and raw whois data collection.
Smart lookup using the best method, including general registry queries as well as extact domain registrar queries aimed to decrease whois server loads during volume lookups.
Lookups of singal and multiple domains (user selected).
Automatic generation of all 2 and 3 letter domains for .com .net .org .us .info .biz .co.uk , etc.
User defind, flexible batch lookup limits (the software stops at, for example 200, or 300 - the number is set by you, lookups and notifies you of reaching your daily limit).
Easy and robust interface.
Military-grade encryption of data.
Upgradability through registrar config files which determine the parsing of data.
Expiration alerts! Get the snap on that soon to expire domain before everyone else!

All that and the ability to keep all your domains in one place, share and publish data on demand, as well as securty of knowing your data is safe from unwanted eyes.

Requirements: Windows 95 and up.

Installation through the industry standard Installshield Wizard.

Also, while the software is in beta, i am accepting feature requests. I am also adding features as i see the need. I am using this software for my domain needs and find it to be a great tool that saves me time, lets me organize my domains and peek into the future, alerting me to soon to expire domains.

Please participate in this poll and let me know how much if anything would you pay for the software.

I am also looking for distributors. For a set price, you can buy unlimited distribution rights and sell this software for pure profit!

Great, i see some participation already. If anyone wants to see additional features, please post your requests. I am well capable of adding anything and everything (hey, you want instant IP2IP data sharing?) but i am not going to add any wacky features, so please stick to the main theme of the software. The software will grow and the pruchase price will include free upgrades for a full year from the date of purchase. One feature i can see myself adding is automatic domain registration with participating registrars, but more on that in the future. Thanks.

Do you mean checking a raw list for dictionary words (or any other list) when you say "filtering" ?

As you use the app, which already comes with a number of domains preset in the database by the way, you add more and more domains. After some time you are looking at tens of thousands of names. You will want to filder and display the data by domain name (including partial matching with wildcards), creation, update, expiration dates, etc. You might be only concerned with running batch whois on the names in your database, which are currently set to expire today. You can also set the app to refresh whois on a particular set of domains matching your specific criteria. This way you can clearly see the data you want when you want it. This is what i mean when i say 'filter'. I currently have hundreds of thousands of names in my database and i would go nuts without these filters. One of the filters lets you mark the domains with your snap service. Meaning, you can mark a domain as being in your snap or namewinner, dw, etc. account. This way, you can see the complete picture and even run printable reports which will show you which names are at which service and all related domain data, so you can keep track of your domains with ease!

I am also currently working on adding a feature which would extract dictionary names from the web and put them into the database as well, but that will increase the price of the software a bit.
