I am pleased to tell our clients about the new whois system in their account interfaces. It is designed to query the status of a domain rather than the personal details. Returns will tell you the expiry date and the code status ie redemption period, pending delete, active etc. I believe this info is more important to the drop market than who owns it etc.

It'll accept 50 names at a time. I'll shortly have it available to the public as a (free) service.

That's cool. And remember to omit 'NOTICE' and 'TERMS OF USE'.

It already omits the text garbage. You'll just get a table with the name, status, expiry and updated date. Very easy to see where your domains are in the cycle.

PS while you're there try our free Wizard Sort. You can add up to 10,000 domains and have them sorted by up to 200 keywords. It will also sort by length and extension for you. You can order directly from the results if you wish.

OK it's now available on our public whois. When searching for names in our database you can take your list and do a whois.

You don't need an account for these features.

Hi gmartfin,

How do you get there from here. Iwent to dropwizard to try, but I can't find the whois page (I'm not a member yet). On the search.pl page, it says to see the FAQ page and check the whois, but all there seems to be there is the explanation of the new Verisign output. Did I miss something?

Click on that check the whois you saw. It's a link. I have to change the colour of them.......they're too confusing in white.
