That's the exact question you should be asking yourself prior to registering any name.

why do you think this should be worth something? Rational thinking should actually lead to the result that the chance of mobis depreciating in value is actually higher.

are you kidding? Mobile has just started. How can you say that the price a mobi domain would go down? The market has just started. The future is not going to be sitting at home accessing the pc, we are on the go. Do you think the Iphone is old hat? The mobile market (info on the go) has the best chance of suceeding.

.mobi will be bigger than .net, .org, .us and any other sub par ext.

in case you havent noticed... mobi has nothing to do with how big mobile internet is going to be, thats two totally different things..you got suckered in by the mobi registrars in thinking that there is a connection.. the simple mobi tld does nothing and has no advantage over anything..it was marketed as the mobile version (shrunk down version for cell phones) but now that the iPhone is out and the trend goes towards not having a shrunk down version but the real thing..that marketing idea is dead too now..., so the iPhone is actually the end of .mobi not the beginning

why would I register something that I strongly believe is going to be a short lived hype? Also I think the only people paying high $$$ for mobis are end users that know even less about the subject and got tricked into believing its going to be huge..I am not out to make a quick sale in which I think I ripped someone off..I think thats (although legal) is unethical.

maybe you might think that some people might be upset that they missed out on a short mobi hype...I gotta disappoint you..I think its great if people make money in the domain field..I have no negative feelings towards that.. all I am doing is trying to caution you that .mobi is nothing but devious marketing in which a couple of people managed to convince a lot of people to reg mobis. and they only people making a lot of money are the people behind it..

while the ethics and tricks of the mobi founders are more than questionable all I am trying to express is that you should observe exactly what you are regging and question what advantages mobi actaully has, and what the real connection of the tld and mobile devices are..it never hurts to o some research before investing

epin is what t-mobile refers to the minutes people add to prepay. Could be some use there as it relates to .mobi. but overall I still think it is worth very little.

I will just stay out of the whole .mobi debate.
