Doesn't the .mobi super highway stop at the liquid now intersect of space and time? I'm standing at the crossroad, and so far the only movement I've seen was in a leaf. I need to be sold on this, someone, anyone...

pretty cool ... just went to the pre loaded ESPN link on t-mobile's walled garden internet on my dash and this is the first line that greets me ...

ESPN.mobi gives you optimized access to news, scores, stats and more.

the actual address through the walled garden is mobileapp.espn.go.com/wireless/espn/blahblah

Excellent news, Namewaiter, thank you.

I've got a Dash too....ESPN.mobi is preloaded on it as the default....fantastic!

didn't know that. ta for info

Looks like certain market sectors are readily adopting .mobi.

Seems the ones lagging behind are domainers.

Before using a mobile device to access the internet via .mobi, please consult your user's manual and father frank.

or we could just ask you, Doc Mobicom

ESPN is seeing extraordinary growth on their mobile site. In fact on some days they are getting more visits to mobile pages related to the NFL then they are to the PC site. This may be old news for some, but for others here's the link at http://www.rcrnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080107/FREE/420798726/1012/FREE
Also NOKIA (one of our investors) is telling us that they are now getting 130 million page views per month on NOKIA.mobi---much more than what they get at NOKIA.COM.

I'll be talking about this at TRAFFIC in Vegas next week and the planned dotMobi Happenings in various cities.

Thanks,

Pinky,

Welcome to DNForum.

It's an honor and a pleasure to have you aboard this forum.

Thank you for sharing that outstanding data.

Hope to see you around here often!

Michael

Good news and thanks for posting.

Seems to more be of a difficult task to sell domainers on domains than it is businesses.

To Businesses, it just makes good business sense to reach you customer on a device they have with them 16-18 hours a day.

For some domainers, they just can't be reached.

Synapses are firing, grey matter deficit, cranial rectal inversions.

Thanks Michael. I look forward to learning from others and sharing my views. Lord knows I'm busy enough all day checking email, phone messages and just trying to get stuff done. But I can add DN Forum to my list of "must check" each day! I travel quite a bit but will do my best to chime if at all possible.

Best regards,
Pinky

Nice to have you here Pinky!

Thanks for the info, and I look forward to more good news.

Hi Pinky, great to have you as a member here at DNF.

I have visited your site and obviously you must be classed as both a .mobi 'expert' and a .mobi 'insider'. So I wonder please can you tell us any of the following:

What the plans are for .mobi auctions at Sedo after the debacle of the last auction and subsequent unlawful re-run auction?

Has agreement on settlement yet been reached with those domainers who were treated so diabolically in the last Sedo .mobi auction?

How are the remaining reserved names going to be sold off?

When are the remaining reserved names going to be sold off?

Thanks in advance for any information you can give us here.

Bill
