Ethanol.com currently asking for $600,000. I have Ethanol.net which is now available for sale. However, I want to get a feel how much it is worth first. Idea?

Thanks.

Regards,

Kawing

asking price and selling prices are often very far apart, plus I actually think .net is kind of in a slump lately, i wouldnt even assign 10% anymore to the .net of the .com value, maybe around 5%, so I think a comparable asking! price would be around 30K

Have you received any offers on the domain? Your appraisals are going somewhat slow...

That's WAY too much for this .net. $15K could net a quick sale, but even on a good day I don't think you'd get $35K.

Nice name. I'd put this at low $XX,XXX- mid $XX,XXX. Hold onto it for a little. Energy just keeps getting hotter and hotter with no end in sight.

This domain seems to value very high. Can anyone suggest what I can do with the domain? Parking it will be a waste. Thanks.

start an auction at Sedo by accepting a $60 bid and see where it goes

I am not sure about sedo. I might try to contact them and see if they let me put up a reserve auction. I seen domains selling very cheap at sedo, especially .nets. I probably going to sell it if I receive offer for at least $20k. I don't think I will get that from sedo unless there are a lot of potential buyers for this name.

yeah 20k sounds way too much as a starting offer..its a hot name right now..and thats the time to sell..dont get carried away with people throwing numbers around here, those are the last to actually make an offer, if you wait you might actually get less..like I said asking price (best possible end user price is very different from a realistic price most of the time) I think reseller is more mid $$$$ to high $$$$ and thats good money for a .net, I personally cant stand .net and I think any offer over 5k is worth taking

I would sell for 10k to 25k ASAP. Ethanol will lose it's head of steam soon and in a few years it may be obsolete.

Maybe the ethanol.com owner will buy you out for 20k? He will be better able to sell his .com if he can include the .net.

If you start it at sedo with no reserve, I anticipate it would rise over 10k, but who is to say how high it will go?
