The point is that if the registrar where you pre-reg the domains become an effective registrar, it will use its pre-reg list and try to reg the domains for its clients. Let's say Lycos will become registrar, if you have not pre-reg any domain there, it will be hard to get good ones. Well, i think it will work like this. It is also possible that it is just a trick to know which names are popular as .eu extensions...

did youy calculated numbers??

it is all 36 characters so it makes 36*36 domains whic is equal to 1296 i am now in electronics engineers in university. so my math is good.
