The only German words I know are danke and ein. I guess this already makes me the German expert of the hour. That's why there's no reply.

It's been a long time since I had German classes. Domain names weren't around then, so I have no idea on that one. But I thought "company" in German was "die Kompanie," or "die Gesellshaft." I always used Kompanie because I like my foreign languages to uyse the same basic words as in English

I tried looking up Betriebs and came up with "die Betrieb" = "factory, management" -- I'm not sure what the S on the end is supposed to do for it.

I tried all those variations as .coms, and, while they are all taken, none are being used for anything.

I have no idea how to try to rate your names other than knowing they aren't worth millions, but that's a fair bet on most names.

Mastmnds - sorry to say that but now it's me who has to say "$0.00".

There is no german word like "Domane".
Actually the german word for domain is...domain.
The austrians sometimes use "Domaine" or "Domaene" but even that is highly uncommon.

As for Betriebs.com:

It's "Betrieb" and it's one of many terms for "company"; would be a nice name without the s, but with the s it doesn't make sense really.

@beatz : you are perfectly right. I AM german and "Betrieb" is another word for "Unternehmen". But "Unternehmen" means company. Its used more often. "Betrieb" is more like a smaller company. And - yes - domain is domain in germany. There is no other word. Guess why they sold www.domain.de for quite a lot of cash to SEDO. Anyhow - if there are any more questions concerning german names: zörgert nicht, mir die Fragen zu stellen - denn deutsch sprechen kann ich natürlich als Deutscher (well, what did i say ?)

.net/.info
.biz

So indeed makes sense to reg german terms with .com but of course not with .co.uk .

Ummm ... I thought I read in another thread that YOU were very much into the ".US" domains!! Doesn't sound as though this is the case here, or any longer. Specifically, you very much liked "e" and hyphenated domains in the .US!?? Yes?
