In your case, seeing you already have an interested party, this thread is really not about the actual worth of this domain, but rather about getting out of them as much as you can, and those are two separate things. After all, one man’s trash can be another man’s treasure. And since this is not a charity, you should learn what they are ACTUALLY willing to pay for it, and then decide whether you are willing to sell at that or not.

How much is it worth to your potential customer (what was their offer I mean)? Is he/she an end user? Is it a company or an individual? Are you looking to sell to the highest bidder (even if the offer might not much), or would prefer to hold?

I'm not interested in buying it BTW :) I'm just asking these questions in order to help you with your sale...

When you appraised it for him. Did he tell you where to appraise the domain?

You should never do an appraisal for a buyer. Let him appraise it, if he wants it that bad. It is not your job.

I'm only saying this because there have been a lot of scams where buyers pretend to want a domain so you can do an appraisal somewhere of their liking and earn them money. (from their site)

Good luck.

Hadriel. I'm sorry to ruin your day buddy, but you just got scammed. Sorry to say but you lost that 100$. 100% sure.

I know this because I know people who went for the scam.

You should've posted here first. As they said, this scam has been around already since 2002, if not longer... :/
