I am pretty sure those prices quoted so far are motivated end user prices, as far as reseller pricing goes I would say its mid to high $$$
Very nice domain name. I'm going to appraise in the $XX,XXX ... minimum.
So nice of you to characterize another's viewpoint as greedy. Incidentally, Sedo is a fine auction format, but end-users exist outside that world.... so usually I am not someone to get greedy waiting for some jackpot..

So...with golf being one of the most popular sports in the world (probably the 2nd most popular behind soccer/football), with golf courses being one of the most searched golf terms on the internet, and with golf courses being highly lucrative in general, your reseller pricing is mid to high $xxx? What would you price Golf.us at? Mid $x,xxx?
I'll say go for a min of $2,500. Mid $xxx especially on this name would be what you would get doing something like posting in one of the sales threads "I'll accept the best offer in the next half hour from someone that will pay via PayPal within the hour."
I think golf.us is a whole different thing, you are mixing things up here.. I understand that you love golf, its a great sport ..but fact is that the domain has a very limited use..it can be a directory for golf courses in the US, thats pretty much it...it can in no way be compared to golf.us. the assumptions you are making inme appraising golf.us at some price are dumb and unfounded....
...no well established golf course would go after this name, because if you paid a little attention to the golf world you would have noticed its all about the country club's name and brand, and PGA.., its a 2 word .us domain, its a nice one, but for example football.us sold for 18K..(#1 sport in the US and its football.us and not footballfield, footballgames or footballplayer)...and if you think golfcourses.us comes even close to this?
Given that, the statement of yours I bolded, "it can be a directory for golf courses in the US, thats pretty much it" is like saying "VoiceOverIP.com could only be used for VOIP services and that's about it". That one use shouldn't be taken lightly...a portal for golf courses can be pretty lucrative use given the search stats. Search stats don't lie, lots and lots of people are searching for golf courses. Bottom line: pro football might be the most popular sport for people to watch on TV and attend, but far more people golf than play football, and apparently a lot of them look online for new places to play golf.![]()
