The thing to remember is that in the years to come we will refer to 2008 2009 as the good old days :)

I can only say if I sell the domains whether if I got good deals.

I have bought a few since December, and got some in the .ca drops for less than what they would normally have been.

In a year or two there'll be lots of talk and threads about the deals of today.

Kevin Ham was the only one I was aware of at that time frame - 1999, 2000, 2001 etc.

I remember this was from a piece in an entrepreneur magazine or something like that.

I moved to my present location in 1996 so my knowledge of Kevin and the domain industry started right about then.

I recall when people really, really, really wanted your business and would answer their own phones and were exceptionally helpful.

I was a big client of Network Solutions and a web hosting company that I think was called Interland.

Yes...I'm just talking about the ones who 99 times out of 100 would beat me out for the big netsol drops in that time period....

I'm more than willing to buy some domains for $xx,xxx but I'm not going to overpay in this market. To those who keep complaining about "lowball" offers please asses this economy and the true value of your names. I will always try to "lowball" anyone for a domain I want because it makes sense from a business perspective.

Donny from Parked bought Voodoo dot com..it's a steady/solid type-in traffic name with nice rev..very solid long term investment that will pay for itself and has mega development potential. When Donny raised his bidder number at the table next to us we were all not really suprised..It was a good buy. There were alot of nice deals actually..lot's of names went pretty cheap, the auction was alot of fun too.

Well, I didn't have 300K to spend.

But I think that was a deal from the perspective that it is globally recognized, it is a culture, it is a religion, and it is just damn fun to say.

Congrats to Donny.

Here's hoping Chris left some hurricanes for me. Keep the little umbrellas.

I'll be NO in a few months paying respects to my dad.

No umbrella's here dude..I been drinking 7 & 7's and blowin' that chronic ya heard! :smokin:

My best wishes regarding your Dad, God bless.
