servermatrix and managed.com dont really manage the servers in the way we meant it. They both offer very basic 'management' which is simple scanning to make sure the machine is running and emails to let you know what is working and what isnt.
I had a server with SM, but was unhappy with their customer support, and basically, they deleted my machine (yes, deleted it) because I was away for 10 days (10 days!!!) on vacation and my CC had expired. on the 11th day, I updated my CC, and confirmed their email which said I still had 20 days before the machine would be deleted.
what happened?
I got a nice email (and a phone call) with an apology that a mistake happened, and that the server was reclaimed before the time was up...
Now, i am with managed, and except of 1 day 2 weeks ago when their servers went down for 20-30 minutes, all these months no problem whatsoever.
