Hi everyone. I'm happy to be part of this community and I'm here to learn and to network. I have some questions that I had trouble finding answers to out on the web, so I decided joining this forum was a good move for me. The first big question is about domain appraisals, since I have an offer on one of my dn names, and the interested party is asking for an appraisal. So, now that I'm here on the forum, I'm off to hunt for an answer... If anybody has any professional advice, I'd very much welcome it! I'm looking forward to communicating with many of you soon! :)

First off welcome to the forum. Secondly, are you sure its a real offer and they are not trying to talk you into getting an appraisal from them or a company they recommend?

As far as appraisal goes if they are interested in the domain and want an appraisal tell them they are welcome to spend their own money to do so. If a potential buyer makes special requests that will cost money I welcome them to do so but using their own money not mine. There are plenty of companies out there that offer appraisals for domains.

Hi Melly. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum and for your advice on my appraisal question. I also posted the question in the newbi section and soon found out that it is most probably a scam. I thought that the offer seemed too easy and "shady," and that's why I joined the forum for help. I will also take your advice about telling the buyer he must pay for appraisals, not me.

I'm eagar to learn and to communicate with other domainers. So far, the experience has been great. Thanks again!
