How accurate is Overture

Hi everyone,

How accurate is overture as far as name with extension results. I am looking at a name that has an overture score of 1013 with extension. Will it likely get decent traffic?

Available to reg? or you are looking at buying it. If its available to reg then you have to spend $7 to find out or someone will.

If you are looking at buying it from someone then you better go by the stats going 2 or 3 months back instead of using the ovt score as the only factor, also see if you can find out the previous months ovt score too.

It was not parked anywhere so stats from the owner are not possible. It has never been a website.

How do you find "past" overture scores?

you can try ovthistory.com , also if it is a 2 word domain , then lokk at those 2 words as a phrase without ext in ovt as well , with a space between them , there should be a high ovt on the phrase as well.

You can figure that overture can be manipulated like anything else. I usually take the overture and give myself a 15% + or -

I don't know the accuracy, but its just a personal % I picked.

Overture is a good indicator, but its crazy sometimes, ive got some domains with 100 on OVT with extension that gives me 50 uniques a day and other swith 8 and 500, 700 uniques a day!

Ovt is just one of the many possibilities one can tell the quality of a domain name. Some people are clever to develop proxy and use them to generate false OVT for names. So be cautioned!

I would also look at overture without ext, if it has 1013 with, there should be a pretty good score without
