How do you remind yourself?

If you need to remember something how do you do it? I am a very forgetful person so I send emails to myself

I write notes to myself and stick them where I think I'll see them.

Trouble is, sometimes the notes get lost!

I also use notepad.exe. I have a file open that I add notes to all day (go figure), and usually end up saving and having a big mess, but either way I check it often so I usually remember things I add to it.

I also use Outlook to alert me of stuff days or weeks down the line.

Otherwise I just write a physical note and put it in front of my monitor on my desk.

I used to put a text file in startup with reminders but I always closed it and thought "ill read it later" so for me, Email is the best

if it is a tangible item that i want to bring with me when leaving the house, like mail or a note etc, i put my car keys on top of it then i dont forget

I use my brain LOL.... i really really stress hard coz most of the times, i know what i have to do but sometimes it happens that i forget the exact thing i had to do, so i go through the whole last few hours and then i find myself smiling at my foolishness

Thats mean lol....

I write stuff on my hand with an inkpen. Or I use the Konfabulator where I can download widgets that are on the desktop. Like a real cool one that is a bunch of stickies.

Either I act upon it on the spot or I use associative memory to go back to it. For example, I pay my bills when they arrive, not when they are due.

For domain related matters, I keep track of things in a database. Critical info on an offline, non-electronic medium (aka paper notebook).
