They do have a rep here..Im surprised they haven't issued a statement either here or on the site.

I notice now that its not resolving, maybe they are trying to get it back online.

I notice that they have changed their deletion system, not to allow deletion
below 24 hours.

"Sorry we didn't send out an email. Our main server was down, which is also where all the email addresses are located.

We will send out an email later today, now that our system is back.

also

"Sorry about the downtime. The file system on our main server was corrupted, probably due to a hardware failure. It took us this entire time to rebuild our servers from the backups.

It's back up now, but everyone should check to make sure you're not missing any domains.

A domain that I registered on February 28th was completely missing from my account.

Hmmm, this isn't fantastic.

On certain whois lookups, the domain that was missing from my Dynadot account doesn't even exist. If I use Domain Tools I get "Server response: No match for domain '<DOMAIN>'". But if I use Internic it still has my info, and the site is running just fine.

At least the backups seem to be functional.

So why are some domains missing ? Because they had not backed up properly ?.

DG
It's the activity that took place between the last backup and the crash.

ATTENTION!

I bought a domain name the same day before the crash for $xx,xxx and had it pushed to my account, whois updated, I renewed it, etc.

Login to my account today...guess what?! DOMAIN NOT THERE

It is back in the seller's account and back in the old whois info, I am in close contact with him so it's not a issue as far as him re-pushing it and it's already being redone but be advised that YOU MAY BE MISSING DOMAINS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT, and any services or actions you ordered the day before dynadot went down (like renewals, etc) will now most likely not be there or have been reversed. Please check your accounts & receipts!

Yikes. Looks like a database was reverted to an older archived version.

Alot of people are going to have alot of problems because of this, I feel bad for the people who don't check their accounts often and had activity that day regarding their domains like renewals or new registrations as all of that will be gone as in *poof* luckily they will have e-mail receipts for everything but what major brain damage, their CS is going to be swamped so don't expect fast support for the next month minimum.

I'd like to know how old this backup is, does anyone know?
