I went to bed last night and Dynadot was unrepsonsive, I couldn't cash out my shopping cart. Now I wake up this morning and the site is down completely. Damn.

Was just about to start a similar thread..anyone try calling? I was just thinking about RegFly this morning.

Ehm, let's hope not. Half my names are reg'd with Dynadot.

Down, but definately not the next regfly.

The dynadot staff are decent upstanding people, and I personally vouch for Todd Han and his integrity.

Whoaa not good..just bought a big name and got it pushed to me there, anyone get any reply from CS yet?

As much as I like them that extended downtime is unacceptable. Actually I'm starting to think it's a DDOS attack.

Wow, they're still down? I was trying to access the site well over 3 hours ago and it was down then.

I just tried calling them but it seems there isn't anyone there at this time. Will try again tomorrow morning.

if somebody wants to them call, here are their phone numbers 1-866-652-2039 or 1-650-585-1961

I cant get through either. This isn't good.

I believe their phone support is only open M-F, don't start panicking yet..

"yet" lol

Everyone, chill out.....seriously. Comparing them to regly is utterly ridiculous and actually is committing libel against them. I hate downtime just like the next person and have a good amount of domain at dynadot. This is why you always have two registrars and split your names. This also makes it so you can easily buy names in case one goes down.

They should have automated voice mail at the very least.

Thanks for the tip.

I assume they have replaced voicemail with email. I mean to come in on a Monday morning with 100 voicemails is significantly more complex than 100 emails...

Regardless do not worry. I have some valuable domains at dynadot, and it is annoying not being able to access them but i am not worried in the least.

Look at their reputation...

Regfly were a disgrace from day1.. Dynadot are brilliant.

Redundant Servers would be nice...back-up, etc.

And would you be willing to pay $1 extra/domain for all of that? Lets face it, dynadot gives some of the best bulk discounts period and have probably the best interface in the industry which is why we all use them.

I pay that for my web hosting but not for my domains, if you need that kind of uptime for your domain registrar check out www.pairnic.com.

I myself use dynadot, moniker (very little anymore), fabulous, and internet.bs.

to note I also have accounts at:
godaddy
enom
namecheap
reseller.biz
resellerclub
name.com /name.net /domainsite
opensrs
register.com
networksolutions
joker
domainit
pairnic
dotster
key-systems
gandi
directnic
domaindiscover
rebel
dynadns
easydns

I'm not worried...

still down for me... definitely not a regfly situation though, hopefully will be up in the morning

I bet the domain tasters are worried.

A high traffic domain I have there has way less traffic today...I'm guessing due to their servers..
