Ok , I am working on a product data feed.. instructions say to save as a tab-delimited text file.

..I am done with the file and ready to save..

WHICH text format should I use?
as a

"word document"
"text only"
"text only with line breaks"
"MS-DOS text"
"MS-DOS text with line breaks"
"uni-code text"

appreciate best guess if nothing else..

tab-delimited

Make sure the delimited text file has the same type of data in each field and the same fields in every row.

Ensure that tab characters, line breaks, and other characters are interpreted correctly.

On the File menu, click Save As "text only"

Try it to see if it works for you.

The best way to deal with plain-text files is to get a good plain-text editor... none of that MS-Word crap (it mangles your text in lots of ways). I use UltraEdit (www.ultraedit.com). It's a really good editor that keeps your plain text as plain text.
